Swim for Hope was founded by Paul Balsamo and myself with the dream of raising money for research, education and to support various programs offered to children with Autism and their families. Together with Ben Kramer, who himself has autism, we set up this foundation to do just that. Through Ben's annual swim around Manhattan and other planned "swims" we hope to assist parents, schools and fund research projects that work to further the educational options of children afflicted with autism.
The Swim For Hope Foundation (SWHF) was started in 1999 by Paul Palsamo and Andrew Baumann President of the New York Foundation for Autistic Children (NYFAC).
